Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Shop Manager to oversee and manage daily workshop operations for Car2Sell. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong foreman or supervisory experience who understands how to run a busy shop efficiently, maintain quality standards, and manage people and resources effectively.

This position is operational and practical, not purely administrative.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Manage day-to-day workshop activities and workflow
  • Plan and prioritize jobs to ensure timely completion
  • Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of labor
  • Reduce downtime and operational delays
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained
Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise technicians, workers, and support staff
  • Assign tasks and set daily priorities
  • Train staff on procedures and quality standards
  • Enforce discipline, safety rules, and internal policies
  • Address performance issues and resolve on-site problems
Quality Control

  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
  • Conduct inspections and rechecks when required
  • Prevent repeat work and operational errors
  • Maintain consistent work standards across the shop
Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor use of materials, spare parts, and consumables
  • Prevent waste, loss, or misuse of tools and parts
  • Coordinate procurement and stock replenishment
  • Control operational costs without compromising quality
Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain operational records and basic reports
  • Track performance indicators such as productivity and rework
  • Coordinate with management and related departments
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements
Requirements

Experience

  • 3+ years experience as a foreman, shop supervisor, or workshop manager
  • Proven background managing operational teams
  • Experience working in a high-volume or time-sensitive environment
Skills & Profile

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Practical, results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage people firmly but fairly
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer and reporting skills
Pay: min $100,000.00 per year depending on the experience
Compensation: $100,000.00 per year
