Position Overview
The General/Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, profitability, and growth of multiple rental locations. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, ensuring superior customer service, and developing high-performing teams at each branch. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on management to meet performance targets and support growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership
  • Oversee and manage daily operations across assigned rental branches.
  • Ensure locations meet company standards for cleanliness, vehicle quality, and customer service.
  • Monitor fleet availability, utilization, and maintenance schedules to maximize revenue.
  • Implement operational policies and ensure all staff adhere to safety, legal, and company guidelines.
Financial & Business Performance
  • Achieve revenue, profit, and growth targets for assigned locations.
  • Analyze financial reports, KPIs, and market trends to optimize pricing and fleet allocation.
  • Control expenses through efficient budgeting and resource management.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion possibilities.
Team Management
  • Recruit, train, and develop branch managers and staff.
  • Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and implement incentive programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and operational challenges.
Customer Experience
  • Ensure all locations consistently deliver excellent customer service.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction scores, NPS (Net Promoter Score), and online reviews.
  • Implement strategies to increase repeat business and customer loyalty.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, insurance regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee accident, damage, and claims processes.
  • Monitor and enforce proper vehicle inspection and documentation procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in car rental or similar operations, including multi-location management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of fleet management, pricing strategies, and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and rental management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $130,000 yearly (with quarterly and yearly performance-based bonuses up to $30,000)
  • Company vehicle with insurance coverage
Compensation: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
